Overview

Francesca’s is seeking an experienced HR Manager to support our Field and Home Office operations.  This position will be based our Corporate office, which is located in NW Houston, but will require regular travel in the field.  This individual must be a dynamic self-starter who is able to coach performance at all levels within the organization and who embraces a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who embraces change and enjoys taking a creative approach to problem-solving to join our growing and exciting HR organization!

Responsibilities

  • Understand and drive business goals in the field and Home Office through continuous thought leadership and coaching at the management level
  • Provide exceptional support to field and Home Office teams by helping leadership to solve complex people issues
  • Identify root cause of people issues; design and implement solutions to resolve issues at an individual and global level
  • Guide decision-making and deliver proactive solutions to business partners, utilizing strong data and analytics as a foundation for recommendations
  • Ensure business partners understand complexities of federal, state, and local labor laws, and that all policies and practices are compliant with respective labor laws
  • Leverage organizational understanding of field and Home Office teams to consult with hiring managers and talent acquisition partners on recruitment, attraction, and pipeline strategies; formulate robust recruiting strategies to develop strong candidate pipelines and attract high quality candidates
  • Provide expertise in the following areas: performance management, employee relations, coaching, data analysis, succession planning, employee engagement, conflict resolution, coaching and development, and compliance
  • Other duties and special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management or Business Management
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years in an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role
  • HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred
  • Experience with and the ability to adapt to a rapidly-changing work environment
  • Prior experience supporting HR in a retail environment necessary
  • Strong internal and external customer service focus
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze situations and make recommendations quickly and effectively
  • A passion for HR solutions and process improvements, and the ability to “think outside of the box”
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills
  • High work capacity, results orientation and strong sense of urgency
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic team player
  • The ability to travel approximately 25%
